The Posh Rock does
Winter Animal Prints

by

With animal print, there’s often an assumption that we’re too old to wear it or that we’ll end up looking Kat Slater-esque (a style icon in her own right…) But, done well, it can make a great statement piece whatever your age. With the nights creeping in, Emilie and I pick out some of our favourite seasonal pieces as we take you through how to wear animal print this winter.

Our coat pick of the season

The Posh Rock - Lazy Oaf Leopard Parka Coat worn by Dawn

Dawn – This coat should be the focal point of an outfit, so I’ve paired it with black denim dungarees and an on-trend DKNY hat. For an edgy vibe, I’ve added my favourite Steven Madden chunky ankle boots.

The Posh Rock - Lazy Oaf Leopard Parka Coat worn by Emilie

Emilie – If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, play with clashing prints and bright colours. I paired this Lazy Oaf coat with a beret hat (again, by Lazy Oaf), finishing the look with playful heart-shaped shades and chunky platform trainers.

Religion Faux Fur Python coat

This Religion Faux Fur Python coat is another example of how to wear animal prints this winter. This coat does all the talking, so simply wear with skinny jeans and jumper or a floaty black dress, finished off with heels or a smart pair of boots.

Zara Animal print dress

Snakeskin is slinking back onto the catwalk this winter and this Zara wrap dress is a great choice if you’re still finding your feet in the world of print. With a neutral brown colour palette and a hint of black, this dress can easily be accessorised with a leather black jacket and heels.

Very Coated Pencil Skirt Animal Print

Leopard print is a classic and this patent pencil skirt from Very is perfect for the office or a night out. The midi length gives you options… wear it with ankle or knee-length boots or grab a pair of killer heels for the evening.

M&S Animal Print Round Neck Jumper

Break the mould with this brightly coloured abstract leopard jumper, a great way to keep on trend while adding colour this winter.

ASOS Pieces Animal Print Scarf

Scarves are a genius way of expressing yourself and incorporating trends that may seem too ‘out there’. This large print scarf gives you the flexibility to experiment with animal print without fully committing. The perfect accessory for any outfit – be it jeans and a blazer, or a dress and leather jacket.

Mango Animal Print Leather bag

Zebra is great if you’re not one for colour. This monochrome cross body bag gives you the ability to be on trend without being overwhelmed.

Hobbs Blake Boot

Not one for prints? No worries, Hobbs have come up with a compromise with these ankle boots that offer just a glimpse of leopard at the back of the heels.
